Is is OK to be Happy?
I once read
"Think thoughts that make you happy."
It triggered some kind of reaction in me that I couldn't figure out thougts are lies, half truths, or untruths?
What good is that? I am making myself feel better by swittching my thoughts??
I felt like I had some kind of responsibility to be as loyal to the truth as possible, no matter what it was--whether I liked it or not, because, --well it was the truth after all.
And yet, the idea still intrigued me. I certainbly could make myself feel lousy by dwelling on those truths I didnt like, or that felt uncomfortable to me.
After a while I would have to switch my thoughts, because I was getting depressed, overwhelmed, and tired, because of the truth glaring bright in my head.
So I would turn my thoughtd to domething eldre..domething that was more pleasant to think about. So I got to thinbking ...maybe that is the answer
I donbt have to necessarily create happy thoughts (though I can), but maybe its more about my focus
I got to thinking maybe it is more about what I was focusing on.
If we continue to focus on things that tire and depress us, then we arent doing ourselves any favors
You wil then have depleted yourself of the energy that you need to get through the day and to get the things done that you need to.
Focusing on the negative doesnt really help create any solutions to any problems. On the other hand, concentrating on thoughts that empower you, and that please you, fill you with energy and a positive attitude that helps you create your day in a positive way.
What do you think? Do you really think it is as simple as happy thoughts?
